At KELIAS, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is at the heart of our strategy. We are firmly committed to each of the social, environmental and governance pillars related to CSR. Here is an overview of our main commitments and actions in this area:

Global CSR approach

Since March 2024, we have been awarded the ‘RSE: + Engagés & + Performants’ label by the UIMM (Union des industries et métiers de la métallurgie). This label, based on the principles of ISO 26000 and the Ecovadis assessment, attests to our commitment to integrating responsible practices into all our activities. We are committed to respecting and implementing a three-year action plan, validated by follow-up visits.

Quality

We have been ISO 9001 certified for over 10 years by Bureau Veritas. This certification testifies to our commitment to customer satisfaction and product quality. What’s more, our products are CE/NF certified, guaranteeing their performance and compliance with current standards.

Environment

Controlling our environmental impact is a priority for KELIAS. We have been ISO 14001 certified for over 10 years by Bureau Veritas. Our initiatives include :

  • Controlling atmospheric emissions: Over the last five years, we have reduced our emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by 50% using ‘clean’ equipment and processes such as thermolacquering and digital film printing.
  • Eco-design and recycling: We work every day to limit the consumption of raw materials in our manufacturing process (from design to end-of-life) and recycle metals, plastics and packaging. Only 5% of our waste is not recovered.
  • Reducing our carbon footprint through an annual assessment; and setting up support to carry out a diagnosis and implement a decarbonisation plan, with measurable actions to reduce our CO2 equivalent emissions.
  • Eco-responsible purchasing policy giving preference to local suppliers who are themselves committed to this approach.

Governance

In 2024, we strengthened our CSR approach by appointing a dedicated CSR manager and setting up a steering committee comprising various departments within the company. This committee defines and oversees our CSR strategy and the deployment of continuous improvement actions.

Social

We value human capital and promote an inclusive and diverse corporate culture. Our actions include

  • Gender Equality: In 2023, we achieved a score of 91/100 on the Gender Equality Index, up 7 points on 2022. This indicator reflects our efforts to ensure equal treatment for women and men, supported by an agreement signed in 2022 that includes several measures to promote equal pay and working conditions.
  • Quality of life at work: We offer our employees opportunities for ongoing training and career development, and work every day to promote well-being in the workplace.
  • Diversity and inclusion: We have partnerships with temporary employment agencies and ESATs (sheltered workshops for people with disabilities). 3,764 hours of work via Inserim in 2023.
  • Nantes Métropole’s ‘Welcoming Company’ label, which rewards investment and contribution to the development of employment in the Nantes area.

At KELIAS, we firmly believe that our success depends on a strong commitment to CSR. We will continue to innovate and improve our practices to make a positive contribution to society and the environment, while ensuring the sustainable growth of our company.
